My Story

I help busy professional women & men like you overcome the toxic cycle of stress, and live a life of balance and harmony.

I used to be a perfectionist, procrastinator, undervalued myself, easily hurt, manipulated by others and attempted to be taken advantage of. In my story, I’m sharing more how I overcame the toxic cycle of stress, depression, fear, and a eating disorder. Once I knew my worth, and who I was in God everything changed. I’m a National Board Health and Wellness Coach & Professional Hair/Makeup Artist.

  • I help women & men overcome negative self talk and limiting beliefs.

  • I believe in being pro-active instead of reactive.

  • Bring more balance to your life by learning to trust yourself.

  • Say no to things that aren’t serving you.

  • Feel great in your body.

I grew up working in the summers on a family vegetable farm in upstate NY that had been in the family for over 50 years. Working in a family business taught me a strong work ethic, entrepreneurship, and customer service. We provided the best fresh produce in town and I knew it from seeing the smiles on customers' faces. Our corn was so sweet and delicious people would rave about it. Our tomatoes were the best you’ve ever had, and our cantaloupe was refreshing after a hot summer day.

Now even though my dad’s family grew vegetables that doesn’t mean they ate entirely healthy. My grandma would have processed foods, sugary treats, and ice cream that she loved giving her grandchildren. Who doesn’t enjoy a good sugary treat? I thought Ice Cream was the best thing ever when I was a kid. Grandma loved to make sure everyone ate and was happy. I believe it was her way of showing love. My mom believed in eating organic vegetables, whole foods, and living a more holistic way. As you can imagine this created a problem between my mom and grandma. When your body receives nutritious whole foods on a regular basis then receives something unhealthy your body sees it as toxic and reacts. I would fill my tummy to the max because I didn’t know when I would get to eat all these sugary treats again. I would go back home, and the next day be sick. My mom would give me vitamins and herbs like echinacea and goldenseal to get better. She would tell me to go lay out in the sun because that’s what eagles do to get better. I would just lay out there all day believing I would be better soon. When I was a kid, I wouldn’t say I was sick because I believed that our words had power. Instead, I would re-frame my mind by singing the song “a joyful heart is good medicine, good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.” Prov. 17:22. The reality is our mind is so powerful we can create our world positively or negatively by the words we speak.

I look back and see how God was ordaining my steps to where I am now. How he turned ashes to beauty and transformed me from the inside out. I am passionate about self-growth, inner healing, and making a difference in the lives of those around me by helping others get to that place of FREEDOM.

I went through the process of inner healing and learned it happens in layers. Often, we don’t realize why we react the way we do until we discover the beliefs we’ve adopted based on our experiences. Once healing happens, we can truly begin to love ourselves and receive the love we deserve in return.

As a teenager I would compare myself to the girls in the magazines. I wanted to look like them, so I would try all the latest fad diets. I became obsessed with exercise and constantly thought about what I was going to eat. Diets led me to obsessive thinking and overanalyzing my body. I started binge eating not too long after a big break up that I had. I was stuffing my feelings down and didn’t know how to stop the compulsive eating habit that I formed. I would punish myself the next day by not eating and exercising heavily. I kept this unhealthy habit secret and felt shame and guilt in the process. One day I was fed up with the diets and realized they just made things worse. In limiting myself from carbs I would end up overloading on them. When I started eating what I wanted in moderation life started to get better. I learned to enjoy what I ate instead of coming from a place of guilt. I realize now that when I was a young kid, I ate to the max out of fear, not knowing when I would get to eat like that again; then as a teen/young adult I ate from a place of brokenness. When I changed my perspective from a lack mentality to a place of abundance, balance, and harmony my life changed. Physical health starts with a healthy emotional-mental well-being. A lifestyle change is about creating healthy habits, it’s a daily process. It’s not about limiting yourself, it’s a decision to choose yourself, that you are worth investing in, that you matter, and healing begins when you choose you. My mission is to help people heal emotionally, spiritually, and physically through a holistic approach. I coach in a judgement-free zone allowing my clients to be in a positive safe space where they can be vulnerable to start their own healing journey.

Now even though my mom taught me how to live a holistic life growing up I didn’t fully adopt what I had learned until my late 20’s. My mom knew about GMO’s (genetically modified organisms) before it was even public knowledge and the poison being put in our food system. When my mom shared that our food was being genetically modified and how important it was to eat organic, I thought she was crazy, I had no idea what she was talking about. It wasn’t until I watched the movie “Consumed” in 2015 about a woman that risks her life to get answers about her sons’ mysterious health issues that leads her into discovering the world of genetically modified food that I finally woke up fully to the reality of how toxic GMO’s are in our food. Everything finally connected for me to why we have seen such a rise in cancer, and autism among other health concerns. I immediately started buying organic vegetables, meat, dairy, and food labels stating non-GMO. A few years later I read the book “Cancer Hacks” by Elissa Goodman. I thought to myself, “I don’t have cancer, but I don’t want cancer let me find out how she overcame her cancer holistically.” My mind was blown on the amount of information in this book, and how important it is to be in tune with our body. For us to be an advocate of our own health and trust our instincts rather than make a decision out of fear. I then became fascinated by our own body’s ability to heal itself if we just give ourselves the nutrients and self-care we need. I believe in getting to the root of our health issue through alternative medicine and being pro-active in our health care. If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, then let’s get started in this health journey together!!
